What sort of threads are used in your designs?
Many of my designs are created with high-quality metallic foil embroidery threads that contain 24k, 18k gold and 99.99% pure silver in the foil. The threads are crafted in Japan using a process that applies gold and silver leaf to a thin foil which is then wrapped around an internal fiber core. My designs also feature precious metal threads. Not to be confused with metal wire, these hard-to-find fibers are composed of a core of thread tightly wrapped in a thin sheet of 24k gold over a layer over silver-plated metal alloy, or 90% silver. Used for centuries and reaching their zenith of popularity in the textiles of the Renaissance and Rococo eras, metal threads combine the softness of fiber with the sheen and richness of gold and silver.
In addition to the precious metal threads, some of my designs incorporate fine 100% silk threads for a luxurious burst of color and rich texture.
Are there any special care instructions for your jewelry?
When not in use, it is important to store your jewelry in the pouch provided to prevent snagging on other items in your jewelry box, to protect silk fibers from fading, and to slow down the naturally occurring tarnishing process of the silver and gold-filled elements. Each design comes with a small anti-tarnish strip inside the storage pouch. These absorb tarnish-producing gases and if kept inside the pouch, will greatly reduce the need to polish your jewelry and will protect the delicate metal threads. The sterling silver or gold-filled findings can be polished with a soft jewelry polishing cloth as needed. Designs of real metal thread may develop a patina over time and may also be gently buffed with a soft polishing cloth. Pieces made from silk or cotton threads may be carefully spot-cleaned, but it is best to avoid contact with hairspray, perfume and other toiletries.
Do you use vintage or machine-made lace?
I craft all of the lace motifs entirely by hand in my studio using my signature lacemaking techniques and original patterns. The designs are crafted with real metal and silk threads.
SHIPPING & HANDLING
Order Processing Times: Designs listed as ready-to-ship will ship within 2-3 business days after ordering. Made-to-order designs are handmade when we receive your order, and take 2-5 weeks to create (please refer to style listings for exact turn-around times.) Special orders and custom-designed pieces usually require 3-6 weeks to be created. Contact us for specific time estimates. If ordering multiple designs with different turn-around times, all designs will be shipped together at the latest listed date. Turn-around times do not include shipping transit time.
Packaging: All purchases come elegantly wrapped in a branded Edera jewelry box, with fabric pouch for storage, and product information.
Tracking: Tracking information will be sent via email at time of shipping, and can be tracked on USPS.com. Please allow up to 48 hours for the website to update with tracking information.
Insurance: All purchases are insured via USPS or U-Pic.com. If your order should arrive damaged or is lost in the mail, please contact us. You will be required to fill out a form confirming information before we are able to issue a replacement or refund.
Important Note on International Orders: We can not guarantee the delivery time of international orders. International shipments may be subject to customs fees and import duties that are not covered in the shipping estimates and are the responsibility of the customer. The customs form will be filled out to reflect the correct retail price and we cannot by law mark the parcel as "gift."
Rush Orders: While we recommend allowing at least one month for domestic orders and 2-3 months lead time for international orders, rush orders can usually be accommodated. Please contact us prior to placing a rush order to ensure availability.
Order Status: We send an email confirmation once we have received your order, as well as an email notification when your order has shipped. If you have questions regarding the status of your order, please get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Standard shipping within USA: USPS Priority Mail. Tracked, insured, usually 1-3 business days.
Standard shipping International to Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom Only: USPS First Class International. Tracked, insured, approx 2-3 weeks.
Standard shipping International to Austria, Finland, Greece, Norway, Hong Kong, Iceland, Japan, Luxembourg, Monaco, Portugal, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan: USPS First Class International. Untracked, insured, approx 2-3 weeks.
Standard shipping to all other locations not mentioned above: USPS Priority Mail International. Tracked, insured, approx 6-10 business days (to most international locations).
Priority Rush Options
Priority shipping USA (via a Rush Order listing): USPS Priority Mail Express. Tracked, insured, overnight delivery to most US locations.
Priority shipping outside USA (via a Rush Order listing): USPS Express International. Tracked, insured, approx 3-5 business days to most international locations.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
All Edera Jewelry designs are handcrafted with love in our Vermont, USA studio. Please note that there may be slight variations between each design due to the handmade nature of all of our pieces, and the natural and vintage materials used.

Return Eligibility: We accept returns on the following products: bracelets, necklaces, belts, and headpieces. Because of the personal nature of earrings, we are not able to accept returns on earring designs unless there is a defect in the workmanship. Custom orders are not eligible for refunds, but we are happy to work with you if there are any concerns with your order (additional material and labor fees may apply). Couture design proposal fees are non-refundable.
Return Process: To initiate the return process, please contact us with your invoice number within 7 days of receipt at firstname.lastname@example.org. Once we have authorized the return and received the merchandise, we will issue your choice of either a refund or exchange. Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging.
Shipping costs are non-refundable and customers are responsible for the return shipping, except when the reason for the return is an issue with the workmanship of an item, or if it has been damaged in transit. In these two cases a printable, pre-paid shipping label will be emailed to the customer, and a full refund or replacement item will be issued once we have received and inspected the item.
Order Cancellations: Order cancellations for special orders, custom and couture designs must be made within 72 hours in order to qualify for a full refund.
Abandoned Merchandise: After thirty (30) days of receiving notice of overdue payment, orders that have an outstanding balance due will be treated as abandoned and will revert to the property of Edera Jewelry.
